1. Character & Wellbeing
We will cultivate resilient, ethical, and socially aware leaders, embedding character and wellbeing across all aspects of school life
- Introduce the Sherborne Framework for Character & Wellbeing Education across all three schools, underpinned by six shared virtues: resilience, empathy, integrity, curiosity, service and respect
- Seek formal external accreditation as a measurable commitment to character development
- Embed character and wellbeing deliberately across academic, co-curricular, boarding, enrichment and social life at every stage
- Develop tutor and mentoring programmes that provide continuity and personal attention throughout every pupil's Sherborne journey
- Build structured pupil leadership pathways, from junior school through to the Sixth Form, — via school councils, peer mentoring, eco-councils and service projects
- Strengthen pastoral and boarding provision as a cornerstone of belonging, emotional literacy and genuine community living
2. Academics & Futures
We will deliver personalised, high-quality learning experiences that equip pupils with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to thrive in a complex, rapidly changing world.
- Deliver broad, rigorous and deeply personalised academic pathways from Prep through to Sixth Form
- Develop interdisciplinary, applied and inquiry-based learning alongside core subject mastery
- Embed AI fluency, digital literacy and ethical technological understanding across the curriculum at every stage
- Expand high-quality tutoring, mentoring and coaching to ensure every pupil is stretched, supported and successful
- Launch the Sherborne Prep Diploma and Aspirations & Futures Programme to connect classroom learning with the world beyond it
- Build strategic collaborations with leading universities, research institutions and global experts
- Develop the Sixth Form of the Future, combining academic rigour, ethical leadership, entrepreneurship, sustainability and global citizenship
3. Innovation & Entrepreneurship
We will embed creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and future-ready skills across all years as a core element of our Transformative Education.
- Open the Turing Innovation Centre as a dedicated hub for AI education, technology incubation, creative labs and cross-school collaboration
- Appoint a Director of Digital Innovation to lead an AI and digital literacy curriculum from Prep through to Year 13
- Appoint a Director of Enterprise to lead a progressive entrepreneurship programme across all three schools
- Develop the Sherborne Entrepreneurship Programme from Pre-Prep to Upper Sixth, culminating in pupils incorporating and trading a real company in the Sixth Form
- Launch the annual Turing Conference, bringing together leaders from industry, academia and technology
- Use AI to personalise learning and identify early where pupils may benefit from additional support
- Build deep partnerships with entrepreneurs, alumni, local businesses and industry experts
4. Partnership & Community
We will cultivate dynamic local, national, and international networks that empower pupils to co-create transformative projects with tangible impact.
- Deepen links with universities, businesses, charities and NGOs to provide real-world learning, internships and cross-cultural opportunities
- Grow the alumni and Friends of Sherborne networks as active contributors to school life through mentoring, events and professional connections
- Develop meaningful service, volunteering and civic engagement opportunities that foster measurable community impact at every age
- Use the unification of the three Sherborne schools to create new co-created initiatives and a stronger shared identity across the Group
- Strengthen the Group's relationship with the town of Sherborne and the wider Dorset community
- Expand Sherborne Schools Worldwide to extend the reach of our educational philosophy internationally
5. Sustainability & Humanity
We will equip pupils to become ethical, environmentally conscious, and globally responsible leaders.
- Weave sustainability, ethics and global citizenship through academic, co-curricular and enrichment programmes at every stage
- Develop pupil-led initiatives including rewilding projects, eco-councils and social-impact activities that create tangible, visible change
- Integrate climate literacy, systems thinking and responsible decision-making across the curriculum through citizen science and circular economy projects
- Use the campus and the Turing Innovation Centre as a living laboratory for ethical innovation and interdisciplinary problem-solving
- Foster empathy, cultural understanding and moral courage through experiential learning, social action and honest engagement with global inequities
- Create coherent sustainability pathways from the earliest pupil projects through to the Sixth Form and the Turing Centre
The Foundations
A vision is only as strong as the foundations beneath it. Across all SSG schools, we are developing the people, systems and partnerships that will ensure our ambitions are felt in the daily life of every pupil.
- Invest continuously in staff professional development, mentoring and leadership to ensure that the people who bring this vision to life every day have the support, skills and inspiration to do so with excellence
- Develop the systems and platforms that enhance teaching, learning, pastoral care and wellbeing across all three schools
- Build the capability to track academic progress, character development and future-readiness - and to intervene early where any pupil needs additional support
- Deepen partnerships with universities, businesses, community organisations, alumni and global networks to connect pupils with expertise, opportunity and experience beyond the classroom
- Foster a shared culture of collaboration, communication and values across all three schools that preserves and celebrates the distinct character of each within the wider Group framework
