Launching in September 2026
The new Day offer at Sherborne Boys will launch in September 2026, providing pupils with full access to both the academic curriculum and the extensive Co-Curricular programme. Boys will be able to participate in lessons, clubs, and activities across the wide range of opportunities available at the School. Designed with flexibility in mind, the Day offer is particularly suited to local pupils, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the rich and busy life of Sherborne Boys while benefiting from a more adaptable daily structure.
Daily & weekend life...
Boys will be expected to register in their House at 8.00am, with the School day concluding at 7.15pm, following House assembly. Those who wish to remain for Hall in Houses and take part in any House competitions or activities running later into the evening can do so. Scholars’ programmes may also extend beyond this time. Day boys are encouraged to engage in the vibrant weekend programme, including social events with Sherborne Girls and the wide range of activities on offer. Morning buses are scheduled to collect boys, with routes planned according to demand.

Will my son be expected to attend school on a Saturday? |

Yes - boys have timetabled lessons in the morning and are free to go home after school commitments e.g. matches or social events. |

Where will my son keep his belongings? |

| Each boy will have a desk in a suitable environment for effective working and a storage space for sports kit (or similar e.g. CCF kit). There will also be an area for changing and access to a socket for device charging. |

What will my son do with his mobile phone – will he be able to keep it with him during the day? |

| Day boys' hand in their mobile devices to their House staff on arrival in the morning and collect them at various times after the end of the academic working day, dependent on their year group. |

Do you have a bus service to Sherborne Boys? |

We will have buses in place from September 2026 on several routes and will reassess the routes on a regular basis depending on the demand. Please see the planned bus routes map. |

Do you currently have a bus service from Sherborne Boys? |

We will not currently be running a bus service from Sherborne Boys, however this may be considered in the future. |

Is it possible to collect my son before the House Assembly? |

If a boy needs to leave the School before House Assembly, please discuss this with Admissions or your Housemaster, as the Day offering is designed to be flexible. |

Can my son occasionally stay the night at the School, for example after late concerts or before early departures for matches? |

It will not be possible for your son to stay at the School. If your son would like to become a Boarder or a Day Boarder you will need to give a term’s notice to the School. |
