A warm welcome to our Prep School Portal. On this page you will find information about key admissions dates, reference forms, scholarships and links to our admissions process, alongside details of the various events we are hosting for schools. We are committed to developing and strengthening our relationships with schools, both local to us, and further afield and are pleased to work closely with schools and their staff to ensure they have a thorough knowledge of Sherborne Boys and Sherborne Girls.
We value strong, collaborative relationships with our feeder schools – both here in Dorset, and across the UK.
Strong Relationships with Prep Schools
On this page, we share information to help ensure that prep school Heads and staff are fully informed about what Sherborne offers, and how to advise families considering a place here.
We regularly welcome Heads and Senior School Coordinators to Sherborne and enjoy visiting schools and attending senior school fairs.
Staff Expertise
Our teaching and support staff bring a wealth of experience across academic, pastoral, creative, and sporting disciplines – and we are always delighted to share that expertise with prep school pupils and staff.
Each year, we offer a broad programme of events, hosted at Sherborne, in schools, out in the community, and online.
Opportunities include:
- STEAM challenges and hands-on demonstrations
- Music workshops, masterclasses, and performances
- Art and DT sessions for pupils and staff
- Sports coaching, refereeing, and fixtures
- Preaching and speaking engagements
- CPD seminars and departmental symposia
Thanks to the close partnership between Sherborne Boys and Sherborne Girls, many of these events are co- educational. We also work closely with individual prep schools to create bespoke experiences. Recent highlights include Cracking the Code, a Modern Foreign Languages Competition, CPD Conferences for Matrons and Art teachers, and our popular Prep Schools’ Choral Day.
