Finalist in the Independent School of the Year awards' Rising Star category
Sherborne Boys is delighted to announce that recent Upper Sixth Leaver, Johnny Moesel has been selected as a finalist in the Independent School of the Year awards' Rising Star category.
Simon Heard, Head of Sherborne Boys, said "Johnny is a truly worthy finalist. He is an exceptional young man who channels opportunity into wider benefit. He founded Civic Shift, a non-profit organisation, to promote collaboration between independent and state schools, sharing access, insight and aspiration. As Head Boy, Johnny led by example, modelling empathy, integrity and service and his impact on school life was profound."
His teachers praised Johnny's “rare ability to combine excellence with humility" with one saying “In twenty-five years in education, I have rarely encountered a speaker of Johnny’s calibre… When I want to remind myself how to do it better, I watch Johnny.”
