Confirmation of place - Acceptance Form
---
We will write again in January of Year 7 to ask you to sign our Acceptance Form which then forms a binding contract between yourselves and the School. We will require an additional deposit of £1,000 as part of your formal acceptance of the place for Year 9. At that stage, your total deposit (£2,000) becomes non-refundable and boys who reside overseas will be required to pay an additional term’s fees deposit.
Common Entrance
Assuming your son’s current school expects pupils to sit Common Entrance, your son should still sit those papers in Summer of Year 8 although our offer of a place in the Third Form is not conditional on the outcome of those examinations.
Overseas Boarders and UKVI ComplianceOverseas Boarders and UKVI Compliance
All Sherborne School overseas boarders must have a guardian in the UK (who is either a British citizen or who has permanent settled status in the UK) with whom they may reside during half-term holidays and exeat weekends. Should you not have friends or relatives in the UK who meet this criteria please look at www.aegisuk.net (The Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students) as they list a number of Guardianship Agencies who offer services to our boarders. In order to comply with current UK visa requirements, students joining the School may need to possess an electronic Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (CAS). Please notify us if your son will require a CAS at the time of acceptance. We are unable to apply for a CAS before March of Year 8 but will contact you nearer the time to make the necessary arrangements should you require one.
Current Fees
Please note that up to date information about the fees at Sherborne School can be found here. Our website will also provide up to date information on any increase that may take effect before the start of the Academic year.
Scholarships and Bursaries
|
You will be contacted in the Summer of Year 7 and asked to indicate whether your son will be applying for any of our Scholarships, Awards or for a bursary. The individual scholarships take place in the Lent Term of Year 8. If you have any questions about the admissions process, please do contact Admissions on 01935 810 403 or Admissions@sherborne.org. |
