Lyon House (g)

Lyon House enjoys a unique setting just a short walk from the main School campus, offering boys the best of both worlds: a close-knit boarding community alongside easy access to everything Sherborne has to offer. Renowned for its warm atmosphere, strong pastoral care and welcoming spirit, Lyon quickly becomes a home from home for boys of all ages. Older pupils play an important role in supporting and encouraging younger boys, helping to foster a strong sense of belonging.

Housemaster:  James Hull

James joined Sherborne in 2017 and has led the School’s offsite visits and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme. He's been a Housemaster since 2023 and joined Lyon House in 2026.

James holds a degree in Education and a PGCE, and has taught across age groups in various settings. He coaches the 1st XI cricket team and Under 15 rugby.

James lives here alongside his wife Hannah and their two children, Joshua and Katy, who currently attend Sherborne Prep.
