Arrival at Sherborne

New boys arrive a day before the remainder of the School, so that they may settle into unfamiliar surroundings and have a chance to get to know the Prefects and the others in their year group.

This year, term begins on Sunday 31 August 2025 for new boys. Boys and parents are invited to attend a Service of Welcome at 2.00pm. Boys should wear their suits to this service and might wish to change into them at their Boarding House.  

From 1.00pm to 1.45pm there is time to move boys into Houses where they will be greeted by House Prefects and staff. Prefects will be on hand to assist with unloading and carrying trunks. Because parking is restricted outside Boarding Houses, please move your car to a public car park or to the School Courts once you have finished unloading.  ADD VIRTUAL TOUR HERE...

Following the service, parents are invited to return to the Boarding Houses for tea before departing. Meanwhile the boys will start their programme of familiarisation.
