James Hull

James joined Sherborne in 2017 and has led the School’s offsite visits and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme. He's been a Houseaster since 2023 and joined Lyon House in 2026. 

James holds a degree in Education and a PGCE, and has taught across age groups in various settings. He coaches the 1st XI cricket team and Under 15 rugby.

James lives here alongside his wife Hannah and their two children, Joshua and Katy, who currently attend Sherborne Prep.

A short walk from campus, Lyon House sits on the edge of Sherborne – giving boys a strong sense of independence. The daily walk becomes time to reflect, chat and unwind, and helps foster deep friendships across year groups.

With a large garden, generous social spaces and its own distinctive identity, Lyon offers room to grow while upholding Sherborne’s shared values.
